Taxi service is regulated in Italy by Law no 21 of 15 January 1992, at a local level by the Italian Council Rules.

 

Taxis are recognizable by WHITE colour, for bright WRITING bearing the inscription “Taxi” on the roof of the car, for the recognition PLAQUE with the words SERVIZIO PUBBLICO, with the CREST of the municipality and the number of LICENSE exposed both at the back and inside the car with the TAXIMETER, the RATES and the MUNICIPAL REGULATION.

 

ANYTHING THAT IS NOT THE SAME AS DESCRIBED IS NOT A T A X I.

 

Beware of so-called taxi services, especially when they are connected with numbers of mobile users and / or provided by actors who offer contemporarily other services such as minibuses, shuttle services, limousine or car rental.
